The Chariho High School Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) is a great place to get involved with your student's high school years. One of the primary goals of the PTO is to enhance parent-school communication, which is done through publication of a NEWSLETTER every other month. The Newsletter is full of information about what is going on at the school, including information from the principal, school events, information from Guidance Department on scholarships and college applications, class & club news, and student services. To reduce paper usage, as well as mailing and copying costs, the newsletter is emailed to those who sign up to be on the distribution list. It is also posted to this website*.
Another critical function of the PTO is FUNDRAISING. Funds raised by the PTO are used for Teacher Grants (awards are provided to selected applicants to be used to enhance the education of our students), student clubs and organizations, and for contributions to Post-Grad Party & Community 2000 grants. A majority of our funds are raised through our SCRIP GIFT CARD fundraisers. Shop for your household items and holiday/graduation gifts by purchasing gift cards from popular retailers and raise money for Chariho High School as the same time! This year’s gift card fundraiser will be held once in the fall (November 7-November 18) and once in the spring (April 30-May 11). Here is a sample of our order form

Chariho Community Festival – May 12
To be held at the Chariho High school athletic field. Local arts & crafts vendors, family fun games, music, family entertainment, food, children’s crafts, bounce houses and more. $3.00 all students / $5.00 per adult / children under 5 free
