Marine Technology students complete hands-on projects in woodworking, navigation, welding, composites, boat design, electronics, and more! Students develop many skills and are well equipped to enter one of the many marine trade occupations or post-secondary institutions such as the maritime academies or tech schools. 
This program is ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) certified.
Marine Tech students receive an extra math credit and have opportunities to meet portfolio expectations 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8.
 The Marine Trades umbrella covers an incredibly wide and varied choice of both on-the-water and land-based careers.
 
Shore-based careers and areas of study include technologies in:
  • Mechanics
  • Wood
  • Composites
  • Repair
  • Construction
  • Electronics
  •  Welding
  • Design
  • Marina Operations
Water borne careers and areas of study include:
  • Deck Hands
  • Deck Officers
  • Navigator
