B-Eye -  Welcome to the B-EYE pages! Have you ever wondered how other creatures see the  world? Here you can find out. Well, at least you can find out how HONEY BEES see the world. Well, let's say you can find out what we THINK the world looks like to a bee. Well, not the WHOLE world, really, but a subset of the world, namely a number of greyscale pictures. ****
    [ Illustrations: some | Reading Level: 3-6]
Bee Alert: Africanized Honey Bees -  The Africanized honey bee, popularly known as the "killer bee," is moving into South Texas and the southern United States. Scientists are not certain how far north the bee will spread, but they do know that it will cause problems wherever it resides in large numbers.
    [ Illustrations: some | Reading Level: 3-6 ]
Bee Alert! - The jump list links to questions about bees, bee jokes, a coloring book, and a quiz about famous beekeepers and their inventions. The activities are designed for kids of all ages, including beekeepers.
    [ Illustrations: some | Reading Level: 3-6 ]
The Bumblebee Pages - Bumblebees are large hairy bees. Many of them are black and yellow, and along with ladybirds and butterflies are perhaps the only insects that almost everyone likes.  Bumblebees with their lazy buzz and clumsy looking flight are welcome visitors to our
gardens as they pollinate our flowers.
    [ Illustrations: some | Reading Level: 7+ ]
Bugbios: Shameless Promotion of Insect Appreciation - This site aims to help
you really see insects for the miniature marvels they represent and to understand how intertwined our cultures have become with these alien creatures.

Class Insecta - Learn more about butterflies and their behaviors. ****
Cultural Entomology - Consider the following questions:  What insects do we find in art? What insects affect us psychologically?  Can you think of any song, book or movie based on insects?  We begin to realize the extent to which insects have become a part of almost every facet of the humanities.  We'll call these cross-spectrum snippets "Cultural Entomology."
    [ Illustrations: some | Reading Level: 7+]
CyberBeeNet (Biology, Research, Beekeeping) - CyberBee.Net is the only privately owned (and not-for-profit) domain name dedicated    entirely to honey bees.  Other domain names (see below) related to bees usually belong to an organization.  There are many other web pages on honey bees, but they are usually affiliated under another domain name and difficult to remember.  The developer of this site named it "CyberBee.Net" for two reasons.  First, the honey bee and computer are the two things he loves.  Second, all the information on this site about bees would not be available without computers networked   together.
    [ Illustrations: some | Reading Level: 3-6 ]
Digital Dragonfly Museum - These images are from dragonfly specimens collected during the interval July 1996-November 1998.  As the climate warms in central Texas and the 1999 spring emergence appears, new specimens and species will be added. The ultimate goal is to obtain a representative sample of each species of dragonfly occurring in central Texas.

Dr. Don's Termite Pages - Most people are comfortable that they know what an ant is, but hardly anyone seems sure they know what makes a termite a termite. Termites are not ants and certainly not white ants. They are most closely related to the cockroaches, and so are very different to ants.  Termites belong to their own insect order (the Isoptera).
    [ Illustrations: some | Reading Level: 7+ ]

Get This Bug Off Of Me -It's a natural reaction to be frightened of some insects.  Many insects have the ability to harm people, and many insects look very menacing.  However, many large insects are not harmful at all.  Because it would take several volumes to describe every insect, this publication is intended to distinguish several common insects and insect relatives in Kentucky that are or are not harmful.
    [ Illustrations: some | Reading Level: 7+  ]

Gordon's Entomological Home Page -  To some people's way of thinking all invertebrates are bugs, to most others bugs are invertebrates with legs, i.e. Insects, Spiders, Millipedes, Centipedes, and Wood lice and
related Crustaceans, to some other people only insects are bugs, and to a small group entomologists a bug is defined officially as a member of the insect order Hemiptera. ****
