Additional information regarding Chariho's graduation requirements are also accessible on the accompanying Parent Presentation PowerPoint. Chariho also is part of the South County Consortium, which is a professional organization servicing the school districts of Block Island, Chariho, East Greenwich, Exeter-West Greenwich, Narragansett, South Kingstown and Westerly.

The 2018-19 ACCESS Language Proficiency tests will be administered to our ELLs in January and February.  Both the High School and Middle School will participate in the testing, as well as the following elementary schools: Ashaway and Richmond.  Again, the ACCESS tests will be computer-based.

This spring, the elementary ELL students will participate in a community field trip in the towns of Charlestown, Richmond and Hopkinton with stops at a local post office and a police/fire station.  The aim of the field trip is to have students become familiar with and understand the importance of these vital community institutions.

Chariho High School junior Araya Jantawan is one of two underclassmen to receive the following 2016-17 award:  Excellence in Art in the Mixed Media Art Class. Congratulations, Araya!

Kimberly Alvarez-Alor is the recipient of the 2016-17 8th Grade Bronze Award in ELA for academic excellence. Way to go, Kim!

MUSICAL: This year's field trip will take our ELLs to the Rhode Island School of Design Museum.  Students will participate in a self-guided tour of the art museum and also tour sections of Providence's historic East Side.
