Guide to the College Admissions Process is an invaluable resource for students as they search for and select a school that is right for them.  The National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC)'s signature publication, the guide provides a comprehensive look at researching colleges, submitting applications, choosing an institution to attend, and more.  New chapters addressing the unique needs of transfer and international students are featured in the 2015 edition.  NACAC's Application Checklist and The Prep for College Calendar are also included in this guide.

Varsity Learning Tools is a comprehensive suite of completely free practice tests, digital flashcards, and questions-of-the-day for standardized tests and academic subjects of all levels.
OnlineU wants to make it easy to find a degree that will help you get ahead without the burden of massive debt.  They provide important, unbiased rankings based on what you care about most, whether it be affordability, value, or prestige.

College Affordabilty Guide The team (based in Washington, DC) analyzed over 10 million data points related to the 5,000+ colleges and universities in the US, to find the ones that offer both financial accessibility (the lowest costs for low and middle income students, as well as flexibility in learning & credit), and positive outcomes. Of course outcomes are subjective, and can be hard to quantify. The team focused on graduation/transfer rates and loan default rates, with the idea that completing one's studies, and being able to pay back one's loans, together form a reasonable baseline for a worthwhile college experience.  The results are published in this book.
