General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(2) for the purpose of discussion and/or action pertaining to collective bargaining ((1) NEA ESP Grievance (related to the changing of work hours): (2) NEA Chariho Certified Contract Negotiation Update and (3) approval of executive session minutes of July 25, 2017 – NEA Chariho Certified Contract Negotiation Update); under the authority of R.I. General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(2) for the purpose of discussion and/or action pertaining to (potential) litigation ((1) approval of executive session minutes of July 25, 2017 – Permission to Initiate Litigation to Recover Tuition (2) approval of executive session minutes of July 25, 2017 - Commissioner’s Determination Rescinding the Superintendent’s Decision to Deny a Transfer Request (3) approval of executive session minutes of July 25, 2017 – Notification of Superintendent’s Intent to Invoke the Indemnification Clause of his Contract and (4) approval of executive session minutes of July 25, 2017 - Lawsuit filed on behalf of the Zell family); under the authority of R.I. General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(3) for the purpose of discussion and/or action pertaining to the matter of security including but not limited to the deployment of security personnel or devices (Emergency Operation Plans); and under the authority of R.I. General Laws Section 42-46-5(a)(8) for the purpose of reviewing and/or approving matters which relate to the privacy of students and their records ((1) approval of executive session minutes of July 25, 2017 - Appeal of Superintendent’s Decision Regarding a Transfer Request; (2) approval of executive session minutes of July 25, 2017 - Home School Requests and approval of Home School Requests); any persons to be discussed have been so notified.
